LaGrange will come alive in November when Tinsel Trail and Tour de Tinsel come together to light up downtown for the holiday season!

Tinsel Trail is a six-week display of 100 live Christmas trees in the LaGrange downtown square and Sweetland Amphitheatre. Local businesses, groups and individuals sponsor and decorate a tree to show off their creative holiday spirit. Alternatively, sponsors may choose a local non-profit to decorate the tree.

Tour de Tinsel makes its debut this year on November 22, 2025 with 10K and 5K night races. Organized through a collaboration of organizations, the race will begin and end at Sweetland Amphitheatre then wind through the Tinsel Trail light display, historic Hills & Dales Estate, the Hillside District and Bellevue Mansion. The race will cap off with a post-race celebration featuring music, local vendors and Sweetland on Ice. Race participants receive a custom performance T-shirt, race swag bag and entry to the after-party.

Both Tinsel Trail and Tour de Tinsel support Circles of Troup County, a local non-profit working to reduce poverty by equipping individuals with life skills, financial tools, and social support. Through relationship-based programming, Circles empowers participants to move from surviving to thriving, fostering a more equitable and connected community. Circles is a 501(c)3 organization and donations are tax deductible.
